'How to Kill a Cop': Death, Despair and Corruption in California's Most Violent Prison

I was the lead editor on a digital companion piece to the 8-part investigative podcast On Our Watch, from KQED. The multiyear investigation found a persistent code of silence among officers at a California prison that went largely unchecked by prison leadership and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). An exclusive analysis of hundreds of internal use-of-force records, dozens of leaked documents and videos, and interviews with current and former CDCR officers revealed a culture of cover-ups that enabled the abuse of incarcerated people, officer-on-officer harassment and at least two homicides at the prison.

I edited two episodes of the podcast “1 in 5,” which profiles college students who are also parents.

Spark Off Rose

I was one of the producers of Spark Off Rose, a live storytelling show in Los Angeles. Each show was centered on a theme, and I chose the storytellers for my shows and helped hone each piece to prepare it for performance.
